Regular Schedule of Events

Mondays & Wednesdays

Line Dancing

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Is regularly scheduled between 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Mondays and Wednesdays (except during holiday schedules when city offices are closed).  


A volunteer dance instructor is available to offer instruction on dance steps. Dancing is a unique form of exercise because it provides the heart-healthy benefits of an aerobic exercise while also allowing you to engage in a social activity.
Senior Membership is required.


Gentle Yoga

10:00 am - 11:00 am 

(Located in the Vince DiMaggio Park Building)

This class is taught by a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Center of Carmel.  Classes are held on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Vince DiMaggio Park building unless otherwise canceled because of holidays.  This building is located at 3200 Del Monte Blvd. just past the Traffic Court Building.  The classes are free – but Senior Membership is required.


Tai Chi

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 

(Located at Vince DiMaggio Park)


Tai Chi involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing.  This activity is considered a path to reduce stress and improve physical balance.  These classes are free.

Senior Membership is required.


Board Games & Coffee​

9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Held every Tuesday beginning at 9:30 AM – those attending currently play checkers, dominoes and possibly an assortment of card games.  


This event has been poorly attended and the Senior Program is attempting to improve attendance by offering competitive activity (dominoes, checkers and Lo-Ball) with first, second and third place prizes.  To enhance the event coffee and a possible lunch could be served.


Quilt, Sew, Crochet/Knit Group

9:30 am - 12:30 pm

For those who may have a sewing hobby or otherwise interested quilting, or creating patterns and socializing at the same time, this group meets every Wednesday from 9:30 Am to 12:30 PM.  Some sewing equipment is provided.  Senior Membership is required.


Lunch Bingo

11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Need a good excuse to get out of the house?  


Join us for Bingo!  The cost is 50 cents per card and $1.00 for the “Hot Ball” (an additional chance to win).  Bingo is played every Friday at the Rocky Han Community Center.  A modest lunch is served between 11:00 and 11:30 AM.  Bingo starts at 12:00 Noon and finishes before 2:00 PM.  An array of six or seven games are played at each sitting. Senior Membership is required.

First Monday of every Month

Monterey County Food Bank

The first Monday of each month at 10:00 AM, the Monterey County Food Bank distributes a variety of food.  People can start lining up at 8:00 AM.


The distribution location is at the Marina Library 188 Seaside Ave., Marina, CA. 93933.  Food Bank contact number is (831) 758-1523. 


Senior Membership is NOT required.

Computer Class at Marina Library

For those who wish to improve their computer skills, computer classes are held at the Marina Library (188 Seaside Avenue) every Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

4th Tuesday of Every Month

Senior Produce Market

On the fourth Tuesday of each month, between 9:00 and 9:30 Am, a variety of fresh produce is available to Seniors.  

Senior Membership is required.

Special field trips are scheduled from time to time but are not listed on this web site until they are discussed and planned.  Membership input with respect to these trips are encouraged.
